Michelle Pfeiffer heads to Montana in the “Yellowstone” spinoff titled “Madison.”
On August 10, 2024 by editor1 StandardMichelle Pfeiffer is set to star in and executive produce “Madison,” a new series set in the “Yellowstone” universe, as announced by Paramount on Thursday.
“Madison,” created by Taylor Sheridan, will be a sequel to “Yellowstone,” which is set to conclude its run with the upcoming second half of its fifth season in November. The final episodes will air without Kevin Costner, the original star of the series.
“Yellowstone,” which centers on the Dutton family and their vast Montana ranch, has been a key series for Paramount, with the premiere of its fifth season drawing 12.1 million viewers in 2022.
The series will follow a family of New Yorkers who relocate to the Madison River Valley in central Montana, exploring themes of grief and human connection.
A release date for “Madison” has not yet been announced. Pfeiffer’s previous TV role was as Betty Ford in Showtime’s “The First Lady” in 2022. Another “Yellowstone” prequel, titled “1944,” is also in development.
